Right before the holidays! With this update we help out some older iOS devices and add few quality of life features for some in the process. Here's the list with more details for each below:

  • Suggestive Alt Text

  • Always search on brand/sign lists

  • Better "marked as done" visual

  • Older iOS devices & bug fixes

  • Discontinue iOS 10 support

Suggestive Alt Text (iPad Only)

Everybody loves the alt text setting in Tagify. Using it while editing a tag lets us punch in custom text that we need to go along with a price point:

But what if we have a lot of the same alt text on a lot of prices? What if we want to nudge our users in the right direction (avoid misspellings, legal text, etc)? That's exactly what we can do with the new company setting Suggest Alt Text. Here it is in action:

In this case, I'm having to use 2 alt texts a bunch. Before I had to manually type it out, now I can just choose it from a list on the right side of the keyboard. This is a new company setting on the web for our tags or signs. Head over there to put your new suggested alt texts in.

Always search on brand/sign lists

When I watch people use the Tagify app, I'm always looking for redundancy. Are they having to do the same thing, over and over? One of those was when people add a brand or sign to their project: some folks always went for the search. They never scrolled or fast scrolled! Now there's an option just for them:

  • In the Info section you'll see an option to always search in your brand/sign list. With this on, anytime you bring up your brand/sign list, the search is going to pop up automatically.

Better "marked as done" visual

For a long time, Tagify has told users that their project was marked done in Activity. It was a little too subtle to notice at first glance. We now get a green circle with a checkmark along with who marked it as done.

Not marked as done:

Older iOS devices & bug fixes

With the explosion of popularity of Tagify Plus, sign shops across the country are dumping their entire graphics library into Tagify! It's amazing! But those poor old iOS device (iPad Airs, iPad Mini 2s and back) weren't very happy loading up 3500+ signs.

With the new update, you should see much better performance and bug fixes for those older devices.

We bid farewell to iOS 10

The 1.5.311 update drops support for iOS 10. Moving forward only Tagify only supports iOS 11.4 and up.
